Happenings lately...

We still aren't very exciting, but here are a few fun ish things that have happened recently:

 - Last night I made waffles for dinner! We don't eat breakfast foods in the morning very often, so it's very exciting when I do get them made. I actually tried to make them on Saturday, but for some reason they didn't turn out well and we didn't end up eating them. Then I promised I would try again Sunday morning, only to wake up and realize it was Fast Sunday. But I did finally get them made, so I'm not a total failure!

- While making said waffles, I was cracking eggs. Usually, I can do this completely unassisted, but for some reason I felt really weird about one of them. I thought "This egg feels weird because there's a baby chicken in there!" We actually used eggs like that in one of my labs once, and it was a little traumatizing for me, so the thought of it freaked me out a little. I thought about it for a while, but ended up being so worried about cracking an egg that might have a dead baby chicken in it that Brian had to come do it for me while I hid in the living room. Shockingly, it was just a regular egg, and he probably now thinks I'm crazier than he did previously.

- I bought some fun things to decorate our house (see picture)! I like our apartment, but sometimes I feel like it could be a little better furnished. What it could really probably use is a new paint job, but since we're currently renting, I'll settle for covering the walls instead? Maybe I'll do a post about that eventually, it still needs a little work.

- Next week is Spring Break. I'm employed and boring now, so we won't be doing anything too exciting, but it's fun that Brian gets a break from school. We also have some exciting family things going on, so maybe there will be a post on that later!
